New Jersey Attorney General's Office
The Division of Consumer Affairs is the lineal descendant of the Office of Consumer Protection ["OCP"]. Created in 1966 and absorbed into Consumer Affairs in 1971, OCP serves as the chief investigative section for consumer complaints. The primary responsibility of OCP is to enforce the Consumer Fraud Act and its regulations.
